Dr. Leslie Hemedes

Dr. Leslie Hemedes is a Psychological Assistant (PSB94023045) practicing under the supervision of Dr. Jaseon Outlaw (PSY23676). She earned her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego in 2006, her Masters of Arts degree from Long Island University (Brooklyn) in 2010, and her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University in 2016. Dr. Hemedes completed her Pre-doctoral Internship at Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems in Exton, PA where she worked closely with transitional age youth connected with the truancy system. Dr. Hemedes has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults that come from an array of socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Dr. Hemedes specializes in concerns related to interpersonal difficulties, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, trauma/loss, parenting concerns, emotion regulation, role/life transitions, family conflict, academic/work stress, and self-defeating thought and behavior patterns. Dr. Hemedes utilizes a strength-based and relational approach to treatment with an emphasis on collaboration, openness, and empowerment. She is passionate about helping clients facilitate new understandings, and identify strategies that will help them remove barriers, resolve conflicts, achieve goals, live more authentically, and establish meaningful relationships.
